电动汽车税收抵免概述和参考指南

Electric vehicle 税 credits were revamped under the Inflation Reduction Act (“IRA”). The good news for 税payers is that these credits will be around for the foreseeable future, 因为IRA在2032年之前颁布了这些税收抵免. The bad news is that the rules surrounding what vehicles are eligible and which 税payers qualify became much more convoluted in the process.

There are now essentially three clean vehicle credits 税payers can claim:

1. 新清洁车辆信贷-最高7500美元信贷

2. Previously Owned Clean Vehicles Credit - $4,000 max credit

3. Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit - $7,500/$40,000 max credit (dependent on vehicle weight)

Each credit has its own nuances to be eligible to claim, 比如MSRP价格限制, 纳税人收入限制, battery mineral and/or battery component sourcing requirements, 电池容量要求, 合格的制造商限制. As all these requirements are being implemented by the IRS and manufacturers are adapting, the list of eligible clean vehicles is constantly evolving.

EV 税 Credit Reference Guide by Schneider Downs Auto Advisors

To help auto dealerships and consumers navigate through these rules, we have developed an 电动汽车税收抵免指南. This guide provides a summary of each clean vehicle credit, links to resources to check vehicle make and model eligibility, and an overview of which 税payers are eligible for each credit.

This one-页面 reference guide summarizes many 页面s of IRS-issued guidance, 常见问题解答和情况说明书, so it may not provide answers to every 税payer scenario. 然而, it is a good starting point for consumers considering the purchase of an electric vehicle to determine if they will be eligible for 税 savings in connection with their purchase. 请与您的销售团队和客户分享.
